Congratulations to Nicole Kortlüke on winning the Lola for Best Editing for SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHERAN! Her editing in "Too Far Away" is partly responsible for the subtle messages of a double loss of home and the exciting soccer scenes. Ben, a twelve-year-old boy, and his family are forced to leave their beloved village, which is slated for destruction to make way for a lignite mine. They start afresh in a nearby village, but Ben struggles to adapt, feeling like an outsider in his new school. It's only when he immerses himself in his true passion, soccer, that he finally starts to feel at home. However, his joy is short-lived when Tariq, a newcomer to the team, outshines him on the field. Initial tensions give way to a surprising realization - Ben and Tariq share more in common than they could have imagined. Tariq, a Syrian refugee, has also experienced the loss of his home, setting the stage for an unlikely friendship.
